What is Digital Enhancing?Digital Enhancing is the name for our all-in-one suite to bring out hidden details and colors in your photos.
-
Can I upgrade DigiTouch? No, DigiTouch is non-upgradable. Your DigiTouch plan included in your DigiScan plan is what you will have.
-
What is Recolor?Recolor is responsible to bring color back into your black-and-white, or badly colored, photos. Retouch is powered by AI, then can be corrected by us if it messes anything up.
-
What is Retouch? What's the difference between Retouch and Retouch PRO?Retouch is responsible to bring out hidden details in your photos. Retouch is powered exclusively by AI. Retouch PRO is powered by AI, and then we go through to correct any details, remove/hide any marks on the paper, etc.
-
What will happen if a photo is too large/small?If a photo is too large or small, we will not be able to scan it. We will not scan it to prevent damage to your pictures. As long as your pictures are able to fit, we will be able to scan them. Take a look at our scanning sizes, and make sure your pictures fit into that range.
-
Can I use my own box? What are the benefits and risks?Yes. it is possible to use your own box. If you use your own box, you will be able to save $20 off of your order. But, if you use your own box, there are some benefits that you will not have. We will provide you with a shipping label, but you must print it out and put it onto the box. You will also have to print your own labels for keeping track of your order. You will also be responsible for packaging your box correctly. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOST OR DAMAGED PHOTOS DURING TRAVEL.
-
How long will scanning my photos take?We can't give a straight answer, since there are many variables that can affect this, such as the number of people in front of you. But, we can give some general examples. If you have Standard scanning, it will take on average between 2 weeks and 10 weeks, however, it may be faster or slower. If you have Expedited scanning, it will take on average between 1 week and 4 weeks, however, it may be faster or slower. If you have Priority scanning, it will take on average between 1 day and 10 days, however, it may be faster or slower.
-
Will some photos not work or have issues, even if they can be scanned?Yes. Some photos will not work or will have issues. This could be because of multiple issues. Some of these issues are distortions or discolorations of the photos or ripped and deformed photos. These can cause photos not to run through properly or even become jammed. If you have negatives inside a slide, they will be scanned as a slide, not a negative. This is because their size do not work with our negative scanner. They will still be scanned, but not as intended. If you have Premium Retouching with your package, they will most likely appear to be black-and-white to improve readability.
-
What sizes of slides, films, and negatives do you support? We support 135mm, 126mm, and 110mm sizes for slides, films, and negatives.
-
What if I want to reset my DigiGallery password and/or link?If you want to reset your DigiGallery password and/or link, please contact us, and tell us your last name, order number, if you want to reset the password, link, or both, and why. Make sure you are logged into the correct account, so we can verify that it's actually you.
-
Are my photos protected? How are they protected?Your DigiGuard photos are protected with us. They are stored locally, separate from our normal business files. They are encrypted with AES-256-bit encryption and require a fingerprint and a password to unlock. Your DigiGallery photos are securely stored in a subdomain separate from the main website and protected behind a password. They are also encrypted with AES-256-bit encryption.
-
What happens if I re-subscribe to DigiSafe after my DigiGuard and DigiGallery were deleted? If you re-subscribe to DigiSafe after your DigiGaurd and DigiGallery were deleted, your photos will not be recovered. This is because they were digitally "shredded," meaning that they were removed from our device, then written over, which permanently deleted your photos. We do this to ensure that we won't be able to access your photos after they were deleted, and to free up space for other customers. Once you re-subscribe, a new DigiGallery and DigiGuard will be created, and all new photos scanned will be saved into that.
-
What if I want to delete my photos early? If you want to delete your photos early, please contact us from the account you are subscribed to. If you confirm, your DigiSafe subscription will be instantly cancelled, your DigiGallery will be deleted, and we will begin following the steps for when your DigiGuard expires.
-
What is DigiSafe?DigiSafe is the all-in-one place to view, download, share, and protect your photos. Safe means two things, both a digital "safe" your photos are saved in, and to keep your digital photos "safe" from digital issues.
-
How can I upgrade my DigiSafe subscription? You can upgrade your DigiSafe subscription by visiting this page or the DigiSafe page on our website.
-
What happens when my DigiGuard expires? When your DigiGuard expires, your photos are put into a grace period, where you can re-subscribe to DigiSafe without worrying about loosing your photos. If you re-subscribe, your photos will then be removed from the grace period, and back into normal DigiGuard. If you do not upgrade, your photos will then be digitally shredded from our server and all backups. They will not be recovered, even if you re-subscribe.
-
What happens when my DigiSafe subscription expires? When your DigiSafe subscription expires, your DigiGallery will be deactivated, and you will not be able to view it. Then, DigiGuard will be activated. If you re-subscribe, then your DigiGallery will eventually become available again. If you do not re-subscribe to DigiSafe, your DigiGallery will be securely deleted. If you re-subscribe to DigiSafe during your DigiGuard grace period, or after your DigiGallery is deleted, your DigiGallery will be reinstated, but you will be on low priority, which means it may take a while for your new DigiGallery to appear.
-
What is "DigiGuard?"DigiGuard is a way to keep your digital photos safe. As an example, your digital photos may get corrupted, and you won't be able to see them. With DigiGuard, you can get the digital files resent to you in case something happens to them.
-

-
Should I get Expedited or Priority scanning? Or should I stick with Standard scanning? We recommend Expedited Scanning if you want your photos to be scanned faster, but you're not on an extremely strict timeframe. We recommend Priority Scanning if you are on a strict timeframe, such as you need then before an event in 2 weeks. If you don't fit into any of those categories, then Standard scanning would be just fine for you.
-
Why does Shipping Insurance cost so much?Shipping Insurance costs more money because we cover all three ways (empty box from us to you, full box with photos from you to us, and the return box from us to you).
-
Isn't there already free insurance provided by the shipping company? While shipping providers provide "free" insurance, it usually doesn't cover everything, and sometimes they ignore requests or requests take a long time. If you want to go with just the shipping company's insurance, select "No Insurance" during checkout.
-
How does Standard, Expedited, and Priority scanning work?Expedited and Priority scanning boosts your position in our queues for scanning, processing, DigiTouch, and DigiSafe. Expedited Scanning boosts you up to the middle of the line, while Priority Scanning boosts your position up to being the next 50 in the line, but usually around the top 10. Standard scanning puts you in the very last of the queue.
-
How does Shipping Insurance work?Shipping Insurance is an add-on provided by a third-party service. If your photos are lost or stolen while in transit, the third-party insurance provider will give you a full refund.
-

What does Naill Digitizing offer?Naill Digitizing offers a variety of services, but the center of it is photo scanning (aka DigiScan). DigiScan is responsible for scanning all of your photos. Then, DigiTouch and DigiSafe builds off of DigiScan. DigiTouch is responsible for bringing out hidden details in your photos, and bringing back color into black-and-white or badly colored photos. DigiSafe is responsible for storing your photos, in the cloud and on flash drives (purchased separately).
-
Why should I choose Naill Digitizing over scanning my photos by myself?Naill Digitizing professionally scans, edits, recolors, and stores your photos. And we're also cheaper. While you can use your phone's camera, the scans will likely come out in poor quality, with glaring and shadows. And, purchasing a good-quality scanner for home use (the Epson FF-680W), you will have to pay around $550, and you'll need your own computer for the editing and recoloring, which you'll have to purchase a license for. With Naill Digitizing, you will only have to pay $400 to get everything, and our DigiSafe subscription is completely optional. With your order, you will get a 30-day download for free, and our DigiSafe suite is for people who want their own personal gallery to easily view, share, and download their photos and extended protection after they cancel. If you scan your photos yourself, you'll have to pay for most, or even all, of them yourself, which will increase the price even more.
-

To refer someone, press on the red button on the bottom saying "Earn more rewards by referring someone you know." Share your link via our Quick Links to Twitter, Facebook, and Email, or press "Copy link" and send it to anyone you want!

-
Which ways can I pay?You can pay with a Credit card, Debit card, or manually with cash/check.
-
Why is Shipping so expensive?Shipping is expensive because your package has to make three trips - from us to you, from you to us, and from us back to you. -

The box can be sent to/come from any address, however it must be confirmed with us first. If it is not confirmed with us first, we will just ship it back.
-

We'll send you a slide (size 1920x1080), for you to put up as a sign, at the end of a video, etc. On the slide, it will give directions. It will provide a QR code and the domain so people can access the link. It will then provide the password. The slide will not be used to advertise our business.

-
